Is your Career/Biz Brand JACKED or MASTERED? Do You Know the Difference?

So…is your career or business execution plan to be the Jack of All Trades?  Be careful, you may end up becoming  the Master of None!   Welcome to the online/offline marketplace and the days of hyper-competition, fake relationships, hustlers/scammers, content stealers, back stabbers and more.  Sometimes being “Jack” versus “Master” is nothing more than a 21st century distraction that has many of us confused that ACTIVITY and ACCOMPLISHMENTS…are the same thing. They are not, in fact the “busy without a REAL plan or REAL purpose mindset” is something the Jack’s keep doing but produces ZERO product, passion or positioning.

News Alert — The REAL customer (W2 and 1099 funders) are yearning for “Your Main Thang” (yes I said Thang!)  So, what is your…”main thang?”  That is the product or service that produces results, revenue and what we call TCE REAlationship.  Now here’s where it gets tricky.  In today’s  world the BIG fix is on uber fast technology, follow me now, like me quick and click now/read later…a bill of goods sold strongly to “Jon and Jane citizen.”  However, the REAL secret is, “slow and steady wins the race…not the other way around!”

I know, you are shocked that I just said “slow and steady” as much as I LOVE the speed of technology and social connecting.   But I also embrace natural balance, if there is High Tech there must be High Touch.  Your REAL MAIN THANG must showcase class and precision while embedding within your brand…genuineness, authenticity, originality, integrity, performance, talent, skill and human-to-human technology.   Never the quick, fast and “in a hurry” approach that we see ALL DAY LONG with our quick clicks, pressed posts, “uh oh” uploads and cute comments (unless you are slowing down to proof read your vetted content :).

  • Relational vs. Pitch groups (knowing  the difference is powerful)

  • Social media spamming (folks will RUN from you)
  • Overkill of ambiguous posts that don’t fit a conversation (Big biz killer)
  • Walls/update areas are precious, don’t post unless you have permission
